The land was bought from Tiara Land which is a unit of Champsworth Development. The land was bought at $47 million and additional $22.6 million was paid to the government to change the zoning of the land from industrial to residential. This plot of land is estimated to fit about 117 freehold units near Kallang River. Jui Residences is formerly known as the National Aerated Water Company. Operations ceased in the 90s and the building has been left idle.
